Prerna Prakash

Community Builder

Prerna is a book-buying and book-reading enthusiast, in that order. A reformed lawyer, she manages Atta Galatta, where she spends her days talking about, hanging out with, arranging and rearranging her first love, books. She fiercely believes in the importance of third spaces, and is focused on making Atta Galatta a safe, accessible space for all its patrons. She can often be seen handing out free books to children, intensely discussing Tintin comics with the 7-10 year olds, and doing impromptu read-alouds for toddlers while their parents attend book launches and poetry readings in peace. She loves Japanese crime fiction, her dog Arlo, and a refreshing G&T, although that's barely getting her through Bangalore's summer this year.
